Fairfield Warde guard Caden Quigley commits to Emerson College

FAIRFIELD, CT — Caden Quigley, a guard from Fairfield Warde High School in Connecticut, has committed to Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. A high level three point shooter who plays with pace and sound decision making, Caden brings floor spacing and smart off ball activity that helps an offense function. Caden projects as a reliable positive contributor who can stretch defenses, make the right reads, and impact winning possessions. He will immediately elevate an already strong Emerson program, who compete in one of the best basketball conferences in the country, the NEWMAC.

Elite floor spacer with three point gravity

Caden’s biggest strength is his three point shooting with his ability to consistently knock down open looks and that changes how defenses have to guard. He hunts quality threes within the flow, gets to his shot quickly, and uses that threat to open up driving lanes for himself and space for teammates. That gravity is a valuable skill at the college level because it creates cleaner looks across the floor.

Quick reads, good decisions, and winning off ball work

Caden keeps the game simple and efficient. When he is open he shoots, when he is not he moves the ball, cuts, and relocates to keep the offense moving. He attacks closeouts with controlled drives, can finish at the rim or in the mid range, and stays active off the ball as a cutter and offensive rebounder. He also shows solid passing feel and help defense instincts, making smart rotations and contributing in the details.

National Exposure Through Real Hoops

Caden developed further through film study with Real Hoops CEO Kevin Driscoll, focusing on feel, decision making, and how to consistently find and generate high value three point opportunities. That work helped him improve his timing, sharpen his reads in the half court, and better understand how to impact possessions as a shooter who also moves, cuts, and makes the extra play. The combination of skill clarity and development support helped him find a great fit at Emerson.

Real Hoops CEO Kevin Driscoll on Caden’s commitment

“Caden’s shooting is real, but what makes him valuable is how quickly he processes the game and how consistently he makes the winning play,” said Kevin Driscoll, CEO of Real Hoops. “In our film work he kept improving his decision making and his ability to hunt quality threes without forcing anything. Emerson is getting a guard who will space the floor and contribute the right way.”

A major addition for Emerson College

Caden gives Emerson a strong perimeter shooter who can stretch defenses and create cleaner spacing for the entire offense. His quick reads, unselfish passing, and active cutting allow him to fit smoothly into team concepts. With his ability to attack closeouts and his instincts as a help defender, he brings a well rounded approach that supports winning basketball.
