Christian Brothers Academy point guard Charlie Marcoullier commits to Gettysburg College
NEW JERSEY — Charlie Marcoullier, a playmaking point guard from Christian Brothers Academy, has committed to Gettysburg College. A lefty lead guard who can hit threes off the catch and off the dribble, Charlie brings pace, poise, and a winning style that elevates everyone around him. He impacts the game with change of speed, smart paint touches, and an unselfish approach that keeps the offense flowing while still finding his own shots within the rhythm of the game.
“I’m excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic journey at Gettysburg College,” said Charlie. “I’m beyond grateful for my Mom, Dad, and entire family, and all of my coaches who have helped guide me throughout this process. I can’t wait to get to work.”
Pace setting playmaker who creates for others
Charlie sees the floor at a high level in transition and in the half court, consistently getting into the paint to draw help and create open looks for teammates. He plays with excellent change of pace, stays poised through contact, and keeps the game simple by making the right play instead of forcing action. He is especially effective pushing tempo with quick hit ahead passes that allow his team to play faster when he is on the floor.
Reliable shotmaking and relentless competitive edge
Charlie is a confident shotmaker who can space the floor and punish defenses from three, whether he is catching and firing or creating off the bounce. On the defensive end, he brings a pesky presence and competes at an extremely high level, applying pressure and making opponents work to initiate offense. His consistent competitiveness and discipline show up in the little things that lead to winning possessions.
National Exposure Through Real Hoops
Charlie received advice and consultation from Real Hoops and CEO Kevin Driscoll throughout the recruiting process. With clear guidance on strategy, communication, and fit, Charlie was able to navigate the process with confidence and align with a program that matches both his academic goals and the way he plays the game. That support helped him find the right home at Gettysburg.
Real Hoops CEO Kevin Driscoll on Charlie’s Commitment
“Charlie is a true winning guard because he plays with poise, makes simple reads, and consistently creates good offense without forcing the game,” said Kevin Driscoll, CEO of Real Hoops. “He competes on every possession, defends with real edge, and his ability to push pace with hit ahead passing makes teams better instantly. Gettysburg is getting a point guard coaches trust.”
A Major Addition for Gettysburg College
Charlie gives Gettysburg a steady lead guard who can control tempo, create paint touches, and generate quality shots for teammates. His shooting off the catch and dribble adds spacing, while his change of pace and decision making bring reliability in both transition and half court settings. With his competitive defense and unselfish mentality, he projects as the type of guard who helps teams win right away.
